Biography

David holds an Advanced Diploma of Music (Violin performance) and a Bachelor of Music (Conducting) from the Flinders Street School of Music, Adelaide, South Australia. While in Adelaide he was Director of the Flinders University Choral Society and was the Musical Director for a number of award winning music theatre productions.

In late 1999 he took up residence in London to further his studies, and has studied with Alan Hazeldine of the Guildhall School of Music.

David has taught violin, both privately and at several schools in South Australia and since coming to the UK has been involved in community music work with the Girl Guides Association.

David is the Musical Director of the Austral Sinfonietta, a London based chamber orchestra, and has worked with other amateur orchestras including the Stevenage Symphony Orchestra.

David is also a member of the Corinthian Chamber Orchestra and has sung with a number of London based choirs including, Collegium Musicum of London and The Apollo Singers.

David was recently awarded a grant from the Tillett Trust.
